A game from 2005, back on the web.
JavaScript Crystal recreates a Flash RPG we made in high school, using the original artwork, characters and dialogue.
This playable exploration demo includes six camp rooms, soldiers to talk to and a world map. The city courtyard is the endpoint of the surviving game; the remake adds a way back to the map.
How to play
On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to walk and Ctrl or Enter to talk, examine objects and continue conversations. Hold Space to run. Use Left and Right to choose an answer, then Ctrl or Enter to confirm.
On a phone or tablet, hold the direction pad to walk and slide between its arrows to turn. Tap X to talk, examine objects or continue a conversation, and hold Y to run. During a choice, use Left for Yes or Right for No, then X to confirm. A and B are reserved for future actions. Turn your device to landscape to play, with the direction pad on the left and action buttons on the right. Portrait orientation pauses the game until you rotate back. The layout fits around browser bars and screen cutouts.
